WEST YORKSHIRE RACER LLOYD TO FEATURE ON BBC TONIGHT!

Scammonden motorsport star Daniel Lloyd will feature on BBC Look North’s early evening news broadcast tonight, Monday, 10th November, as he puts his brand new ELF Renault Clio Cup race car through its paces at Croft Circuit near Darlington.

Joined at a recent test by local BBC reporter Paul Ogden, 16-year-old Daniel – who will embark on only his second season of car racing in 2009 – is quickly establishing a great reputation in motor racing circles for his natural flair and ability and Look North viewers will be able to see exactly why at 18.25 this evening on BBC 1.

Having recently secured new sponsorship for his 2009 campaign from local recruitment specialists The Workplace, Daniel is also seeking additional backing from other West Yorkshire investors and businesses who would like to benefit from exposure of the kind he’ll receive tonight.

Alongside Daniel’s track activity at Croft, the piece will take a look at how he goes racing in the first place thanks to the unfaltering support of his father Neil, Managing Director of Huddersfield based direct mail company Propack.

Neil Lloyd has been at his son’s side throughout his formative years in karting and now during his burgeoning car racing career, much like the bond shared by Britain’s new Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton and his father Anthony.

In the case of the Lloyds though, it’s without the huge financial clout of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula One team behind them!

Please tune-in to BBC Look North tonight at 18.25 on BBC 1 to see West Yorkshire’s most promising young racing driver in action. For further details on his career, visit www.daniellloydracing.com
